Awareness Session on Organ Donation at Meditrina Hospital, Nagpur

  • On November 19, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, conducted an organ donation awareness program for the nursing staff and doctors of Meditrina Hospital, Nagpur. The session aimed to enhance understanding of organ donation among healthcare professionals and encourage them to support and promote this life-saving cause.

    On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, Ms. Veena Wathore and Ms. Neha Sailwar facilitated the program.

    Ms. Veena Wathore conducted the awareness session, explaining the concept of organ and tissue donation, the eligibility criteria, and the difference between living and deceased donation. She also highlighted the critical role of healthcare staff in identifying potential donors and supporting families during the organ donation process.

    Following this, Ms. Neha Sailwar shared information about the various training courses available on the MOHAN Foundation website for nursing staff and hospital teams. She encouraged participants to enroll in these courses to strengthen their knowledge and skills in transplant coordination and organ donation practices.

    The session witnessed active participation from around 35 staff members, including doctors and nursing personnel. The participants appreciated the knowledge shared and expressed interest in further training opportunities.

    The program concluded with a group photograph, marking the successful completion of the awareness activity.
