On November 5, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, was invited to set up an organ and body donation information desk at Jain Kalar Samaj Bhawan, Umred Road, Reshimbagh, Nagpur. The event was organized by ‘Prayas’ Jain Kalar Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal in association with Shalinitai Meghe Hospital, with the objective of conducting a Health Check-up Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Program for senior citizens and the general public.
On behalf of MOHAN Foundation, and Ms. Veena Wathore & Ms. Neha Sailwar managed the desk and interacted with the attendees.
Ms. Neha managed the information desk, interacted with the visitors, and provided detailed information on organ and body donation, including the process of registration and the significance of pledging. She also guided interested individuals in filling out organ and body donation pledge forms, clarifying their doubts and misconceptions about donation.
In addition, Ms. Veena Wathore engaged with the event organizers and representatives from other participating organizations. She focused on building future collaborations, collected contacts for networking, and visited various stalls to distribute MOHAN Foundation brochures and share information about the Foundation’s activities and ongoing initiatives.
Informational brochures were distributed to visitors to enhance understanding and encourage them to share the message with their families and communities. The desk provided an open and welcoming space where attendees could freely discuss their thoughts and misconceptions about donation and express their willingness to support the cause.
The event received an overwhelming response, with around 350 visitors attending. Among them, 15 participants took the organ donation pledge, and 5 individuals came forward to pledge for body donation.
MOHAN Foundation sincerely acknowledges the efforts of ‘Prayas’ Jain Kalar Jyeshtha Nagrik Mandal and Shalinitai Meghe Hospital for their cooperation and support in organizing this Health Check-up Camp and Organ Donation Awareness Program, and for providing a valuable platform to promote the message of organ and body donation.
