

On August 23, 2024, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Nursing in Kharghar to conduct an awareness session for their NSS students. Approximately 210 students and 25 faculty members total 235 participants attended in the program.
Ms. Prarthana introduced herself to the students and began by asking questions to assess their knowledge about organ donation and transplantation. She emphasized the importance of organ donation and the increasing need for organ donors.
She then explained the concept of organ donation to the participants. The discussion included the organs that can be donated after natural death and brain death, and she engaged the students in a conversation about their perceptions of donation after death. Ms. Prarthana also highlighted the role of MOHAN Foundation and discussed how youth can act as ambassadors for the cause of organ donation.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. V. Pawar, who encouraged the students to raise awareness about organ donation, share their wishes with their families, and actively promote the cause.
