On June 26, 2024, Team MOHAN Foundation held an informative awareness session for nursing students from BALAJI Nursing College. The primary goal was to educate the students about organ donation and underscore the crucial role of NGOs in disseminating information to the public. The session addressed common myths about organ donation and provided clear explanations of brain stem death and its distinction from a coma. It also highlighted the legal frameworks and state government guidelines related to organ donation. Additionally, the session covered important topics such as eligibility criteria for organ donors, the types of organs and tissues that can be donated, and the overall process of donation. The session concluded with a dynamic question-and-answer segment, giving the 52 participants an opportunity to clarify any doubts and deepen their understanding of organ donation.
