On March 13, 2025, the MOHAN Foundation conducted an insightful organ donation awareness session for students of Batch 3 and Batch 4 at the Asha International Institute of Marine Technology (AIIMT) in Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The session, led by Ms. Prarthana, engaged 40 enthusiastic participants in discussions about the importance and procedures of organ donation.
The session covered key topics, including the procedures for body donation, distinctions between brain death and cardiac death, different types of donors, and the processes for eye and skin donation. Ms. Prarthana also guided students on how to pledge their organs, encouraging them to contribute to this noble cause.
The interactive nature of the session prompted thought-provoking questions from students, particularly about the time limits for skin donation and the procedures involved in bone donation. Ms. Prarthana addressed these queries comprehensively, enhancing the participants' understanding of the subject.
The MOHAN Foundation expressed its gratitude to AIIMT for its support in promoting organ donation awareness. The event successfully fostered knowledge and encouraged students to consider organ donation as a means of saving lives.
