On March 6, 2026, MOHAN Foundation’s Karina Kadu was invited by Z.P. School Sakharshet to conduct an awareness session on eye donation for students. The session aimed to educate participants about the importance of eye donation and to promote a better understanding of how it can help restore sight and transform lives.
During the session, Karina Kadu explained the concept of eye donation in a simple and engaging manner. One teacher pledged for eye donation during the session. She also spoke about corneal blindness, its causes, necessary precautions, and the age criteria for eye donation. In addition, she highlighted the legal aspects of eye donation and addressed several common myths and misconceptions, helping participants gain accurate and meaningful knowledge on the subject.
A total of 31 students attended the session and actively participated in the discussion. The session was highly interactive, with participants asking thoughtful questions about eligibility for donation, the process followed after death, and the time frame within which eye donation can take place. Their curiosity and enthusiasm reflected a growing awareness and sensitivity toward this important cause.
MOHAN Foundation sincerely thanks Z.P. School Sakharshet for extending their support and providing an opportunity to spread awareness about eye donation among students. Such initiatives play an important role in building informed communities and inspiring future generations to support this noble cause.
