An awareness session on eye donation was organized on March 23, 2026, at Patangshaha Kutir Hospital, Jawhar, by MOHAN Foundation’s Karina Kadu for the general public. The session aimed to increase awareness about eye donation and encourage individuals to understand its importance in restoring vision and improving lives.
The session covered essential information about eye donation in a clear and simple manner. Participants were informed about the basic concept of eye donation, when it can be done, and who is eligible to donate. The process involved after death and the need for timely action were also explained to help participants understand the procedure better.
Participation in the session was encouraging, with 70 individuals attending and actively engaging throughout the program. The discussion remained lively, as participants raised questions and shared their thoughts on various aspects of eye donation. Four people came forward to pledge their eyes, indicating the positive impact of the session.
