An eye screening camp was conducted on March 20, 2026, at Chambharshet (Vanganpada) by Vision Spring, offering basic eye care services to the local community. In collaboration with this initiative, MOHAN Foundation’s Karina Kadu delivered an awareness session on eye donation.
The session aimed to provide clear and practical knowledge about eye donation and its role in restoring vision. Participants were introduced to the concept of corneal blindness and how donated eyes can help individuals regain sight. The discussion included essential information such as who can donate eyes, the importance of timely donation after death, and the steps involved in the donation process.
Efforts were made to simplify the topic and address common concerns among participants. Misconceptions and fears related to eye donation were openly discussed and clarified. Information regarding the safety, dignity of donors, and the ethical aspects of donation was also shared to build trust and understanding.
The program saw the participation of 60 community members, who showed keen interest and actively engaged in the session. Participants asked questions related to eligibility, procedures, and time limits, making the session interactive and meaningful.
MOHAN Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to Vision Spring for their collaboration in organizing the eye check-up camp, which helped in reaching a wider audience. Gratitude is also extended to the residents of Chambharshet (Vanganpada) for their cooperation and enthusiastic participation.
