Awareness Session and a permanent desk on Organ Donation set up at Ananda Nilayam Qutubulapur,Telangana

  • On 14th November 2022, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session and also set up a permanent desk at the inauguration of the central library at Ananda Nilayam, Qutubulapur, Telangana. The theme of the inaugural was “After life” which talks about the good that comes from Organ Donation. Ms. Srividya S was the key resource

    Ms. Srividya.S started the session by asking a few introductory questions on Organ Donation and then introduced MOHAN Foundation to the participants and kept the audience engaged throughout the session. The following were discussed in detail:

    • Organ donation and its need in the society
    • When and how does organ donation take place
    • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
    • Brain death
    • Role of MOHAN Foundation
    • Eye donation

    Over all the session was very interactive where participants enthusiastically contributed to the discussion and asked many queries.

    Ms. Srividya.S motivated the audience to pledge to donate organs and explained the importance of a donor card. Close to 150 people attended the talk out of which 100 pledged to donate organs followed by an information desk at the premises.
