On 8th March 2014, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness programme at Emergency Trauma ward, Rajiv Gandhi Govt. General Hospital (RGGGH) Chennai. Mr. Prakash K, Ms. Sunitha AT and Mr. Jeyabal M Transplant Coordinators, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai conducted the programme.
Mr. Jeyabal M, delivered a talk on Organ Donation and in his talk he concentrated on the following topics: Activities of MOHAN Foundation, Concepts of Organ Donation, Types of Donors, Organs and tissues that can be donated after natural and brain death, Importance of Donor Card and Transplant coordinator training programme.
In the programme 5 student nurses of Madras Medical College Nursing School participated and all of them picked donor cards.
