Awareness Program on Organ Donation by MOHAN Foundation at Jagatpur High School, Mohanpur, West Tripura

  • On May 11, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on organ donation at Jagatpur High School, Mohanpur, West Tripura. As part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts, this session was conducted for Class X students to raise awareness about organ donation and transplantation among them.

     

    Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive at MOHAN Foundation (Tripura), conducted the session. She explained the significance of organ donation, elaborated on the various types of organ and tissue donations, and highlighted how a single donor can save multiple lives. The step-by-step process of organ donation was also discussed in detail to ensure clear understanding among the participants. Students were encouraged to become ambassadors for the cause and help spread awareness within their families and communities.

     

    To reinforce the key messages shared during the session, organ donation awareness leaflets were distributed among the participants. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which students actively engaged with the resource person and sought clarifications on various aspects of organ donation and transplantation.

     

    The participants showed keen interest throughout the program and actively participated in the discussions. Teachers appreciated MOHAN Foundation’s initiative to educate students on the life-saving importance of organ donation and for motivating the younger generation to support this noble cause.

     

    The program was attended by 47 participants, including students and teaching faculty.
