

On April 7, 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College & Govinda Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was held at the Urology Outpatient Department (OPD) as part of the foundation's ongoing efforts to promote awareness on organ donation and transplantation among the general public.
Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive for Tripura, represented MOHAN Foundation and led the session.
Ms. Modak highlighted the significance of organ donation, explained the different types of organ and tissue donation, and emphasized how a single donor can save multiple lives. She also addressed and clarified common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation, while encouraging participants to support and awareness about this noble cause.
Approximately 17 participants attended the session, allowing for focused interaction within the Urology OPD at AGMC & GBP Hospital.
