On March 20, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College & Govinda Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was conducted at the Dialysis Unit as part of its continuous efforts to promote awareness about organ donation and transplantation.
Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive for Tripura, represented MOHAN Foundation and led the session.
The program began with an introduction to MOHAN Foundation, followed by the distribution of leaflets on organ donation. Ms. Modak explained the significance of organ donation, the types of donors (living and deceased), and how one donor can save multiple lives by donating organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas, intestine, and lungs.
Around 12 participants attended the session, allowing for focused interaction in the Dialysis Unit setting at AGMC & GBP Hospital.
