

On July 21, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an awareness program on organ donation at Agartala Government Medical College & Govind Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was conducted at the Nephrology Outpatient Department (OPD) as part of the Foundation’s continuous efforts to promote awareness about organ donation and transplantation among the general public.
The session was conducted by Ms. Nipak Modak, Program Executive, and Mr. Biswajit Debbarma, Program Executive, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura.
The program began with an introduction about MOHAN Foundation. Ms. Nipa explained the concepts of living and deceased donation, highlighted how one donor can save multiple lives, and emphasized the importance of creating awareness and pledging to donate organs. The session also focused on addressing and dispelling common myths and misconceptions associated with organ donation, while encouraging participants to support and spread awareness about this noble cause. Organ donation information leaflets were distributed to all the participants.
