An interactive session organized for the Staff of Cloud nine Hospital Sakharnagar Bengaluru

  • Ms. Babitha (HR Cloud nine Hospital) invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an awareness session for the staff of Cloud nine hospital Sakharnagar branch bengaluru on 14th August 2023 at 11am. Around 47 members attended the session.

    MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS (Project Manager) and Mr. Surya Prakash (Program Coordinator).

    Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS began the session by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision then she explained the concept of organ and tissue donation, she discussed about the types of death i.e., cardiac death and brain death, she then discussed in detail about brain death declaration and its process through apnea test and the procedure of deceased organ donation and live organ donation. Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS elaborated on eye, skin and bone donation and also explained about the barriers of organ donation i.e., the myths and facts related to organ donation and how it impacts on organ donation. She briefly explained the role of Jeevasarthakathe (SOTTO) and also touched upon the prevailing laws and the importance of a donor card. The audience were very encouraging, all the audience actively participated and they encouraged about the “Gift of Life” concept and few of them also collected the donor cards to distribute to their family and friends also, nearly 16 extra donor cards were taken from us.

    All 47 members supported the cause of saving one’s life and proudly they took the donor cards and supported the organ donation concept.
