  Dr. Kumar (HOD Forensic Dept) from Adhichunchanagiri Medical College invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an interactive session on organ donation for college students and staff of Adhichunchanagiri Research Institute of Medical Sciences. MOHAN Foundation team organized awareness session on    23^rd, August 2023.

  MOHAN Foundation was represented by Mrs.Ranjini Shankar M S, Project Manager and Mr. Surya Prakash, Program Coordinator.

  The following topics were discussed in detail:

  • Introduction about Mohan Foundation
  • Brain Stem Death
  • Circulatory Death
  • Jeevasarthakathe and its role
  • Organ allocation system in Karnataka
  • The Burden of Organ failure & need for organ donation
  • Importance of a Donor Card

  Mrs. Ranjini Shankar MS gave a brief insight into MOHAN Foundation courses and motivated the students and staff to pledge for organ donation

  Around 1600 members attended the session, among them 1430 audience supported the cause by taking the pledge for organ donation.

  Brochures and donor cards were distributed at the end of the session
