An Interaction Session on Organ Donation with members of Friends Cultural Group, Korukkupet

  Friends Cultural Group supporting the Noble Cause

  On 04^th April 2015, Friends Cultural Group, Korukkupet, Chennai conducted an awareness programme for their members on Organ Donation and Mr. Deepan, Incharge invited Cadaver Transplant Programme to give an awareness talk. Mr. Prakash K. Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation facilitated and spoke about the Concepts of Organ Donation.

   

  The following topics were covered in the presentation:

  • Types of Organ Donation - Live and Deceased Donation
  • Difference between Brain death and Coma
  • Importance of the consent from the family
  • Importance of Donor card
  • Tissues and organs  that can be donated
  • Helpline Number

   

  Totally 15 members participated in the session and all them picked up donor card. At the end of the programme Mr. Deepan thanked all the participants.
