On the evening of 17th August 2021, at 7 pm, an awareness session on organ donation was organised over Zoom by Ambassador of MOHAN Foundation Ms Preetha Bhaskar. Dr. Hemal Kanvinde began the session by introducing herself and MOHAN Foundation. She briefed about activities carried out by MOHAN Foundation in the field of organ donation.
Ms. Preetha Bhaskar of MMM College of Health Sciences, then gave a talk on the concepts of organ donation and transplantation. Using a PPT, she spoke on the types of donation, Transplantation of Human Organs Act, who can donate, what organs can be donated, types of donors, how one can get an organ, process of organ donation, a donor story, a recipient story and about MOHAN Foundation.
Finally, a short quiz on organ donation was conducted by Dr. Hemal Kanvinde; interesting questions were asked with pictures. Around 30 participants who attended the talk, answered the questions with great enthusiasm. The meeting then concluded with a vote of thanks.
