On 18th January 2022, MOHAN Foundation in association with Transplants – Help The Poor Foundation conducted an awareness webinar on organ donation for NCC Cadets of Nabira College.
Major Jaspal Singh organized the webinar through Google meet. Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi was the speaker for the day.
She started her presentation by introducing MOHAN Foundation, its mission, vision and objectives.
She then touched upon the following topics about organ donation
1. Concept of organ donation and its types
2. Types of death
3. Difference between organ donation and tissue donation
4. Eye and skin donation can be done even at home.
5. Successful transplant stories were shared with the participants.
6. Myths and Facts of organ donation.
Questions asked by the participants
The session motivated 48 participants to pledge their organs. 97 participants attended the webinar. Ms. Prarthana invited the audience for internship and volunteering programmes at MOHAN Foundation.
