A champion for the cause of organ donation gets recognition in Rajasthan

  • MFJCF congratulates its convener Mrs. Bhavna Jagwani for being honoured with the “RAJMATA GAYATRI AWARD FOR WOMEN’S EXCELLENCE”. The award was given in the beautiful traditional ambience of City Palace  by  Maharani Padmavati Devi on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Late Brig. H.H. Maharaja  Sawai  Bhawani Singh ji on 23rd of Oct, 2015.

     

    Born & brought up in Nagpur, Bhavna ji, a jewellery designer by profession has a unique flair for creativity. During her pregnancy, she lost her vision due to a drug reaction. Miraculously the vision came back. Believing there is a hidden purpose behind everything Bhavna ji founded Eye bank Society of Rajasthan (EBSR). More than 4000 people have got vision as a result of the efforts laid by EBSR.

     

    In 2014, Bhavna ji took the initiative to start the challenging Cadaver Organ Donation and Transplant Programme in Rajasthan & setup an NGO named MFJCF.  The team is continuing serving their efforts for the noble cause of ‘GIFT A LIFE’.

     

    Bhavna Ji says “The road ahead is very long and tough as the demand for the organs is huge and retrieval is limited. But by the grace of God & support from State Government, MOHAN Foundation, family, friends and the Incredible and amazing MFJCF team, a lot more can be achieved”.
