MOHAN Foundation invited at World Kidney Day event at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, Faridabad

  • On March 10, 2017, MOHAN Foundation was invited to give a talk on organ donation at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) at Faridabad. The talk was part of World Kidney Day event being observed by the hospital. Dr. Ramesh Chandna, Director, Safety, Quality, Laboratory & Blood Bank Services, took the initiative to incorporate the talk in the event because he strongly believes in the cause of organ donation and supports the Foundation.

     

    AIMS, a 350 bedded super specialty tertiary care hospital is truly futuristic in its services & technology and brings together some of the most talented medical professionals in India. The hospital provides preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, palliative and support services all under one roof and is designed to meet patient care and research requirements of the new millennium.

     

    The event began with an inaugural address by Ms. Neha Pandey Director-International Business Development. Dr. N.K. Pandey (Chairman & Managing Director, AIMS) in his address welcomed the ambassadors from the countries of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Nepal.

     

    Dr. Muneet in her address highlighted the need for organ donation and gave a basic preview of the process of organ donation. She stressed on the importance of carrying a donor card and sharing the decision to pledge one’s organs upon death with the family members.

     

    Post the talk AIMS donor card was launched by Dr. N.K.Pandey, Dr.Ramesh Chandna, Mr. Abhinav Chaturvedi (actor & director) and Dr. Muneet Sahi.

     

    Close to 300 people attended the session.
