Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ donation in his training hall. The session was conducted on 20 June 2017, for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.
Mr. Bulu Behera, transplant coordinator of MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the how, when what and why of organ donation. He spoke of the importance of Donor card, and sources of more information on the topic.- helpline number and website.
It was a very interactive session. 26 drivers were present at the talk. 4 drivers signed consent form and took donor card. They asked the following questions:-
