  • On August 07, 2014, an awareness session on organ donation was held at the K.R Mangalam World School, Gurgaon in partnership with Times of Inida. The session conducted by MOHAN Foundation (Delhi-NCR) was part of the TOI campaign on organ donation from August 5-13, 2014.

K.R. Mangalam World School is an educational institution that strives to provide high standards of all round intellectual, physical, emotional, spiritual and aesthetic development of every student. The school aspires to usher in a new movement in school education and stands for academic excellence. In view to the institution's ideology, the curriculum inspires and challenges students to think creatively, communicate effectively and reason critically and thus develop love for learning.

Ms. Neha Bajpai, the psychology teacher introduced the MOHAN Foundation. The session was conducted by Ms. Pallavi Kumar along with Tenzin Dharpo.

The session covered key issues like need for organ donation, organ donation rate, brain death and myths surrounding organ donation. The participation level of the students was very high and they came up with very impressive responses to the questions asked. Their queries stemmed from genuine interest and the need to know about the subject. When asked about the term 'brain death' a student gave such a meticulous answer that only a medical professional could give and clearly gained the applause and admiration of everyone present in the hall.

The awareness session at K.R Mangalam was clearly an overwhelming success with very engaging participants who were given fliers after the session.

200 students and staffs of the school attended the session.
