''Walk for a Cause - Walkathon to spread the message on organ donation

  To give a better send off to 2012 and to start the  new year with new hopes and  thoughts the  Rotaract Club of D.R.B.C.C. C Hindu College, Pattabiram Chennai  organized  a walkathon to spread the noble message of organ donation among the youth on 31^st December 2012 from 7 to 9 am at Marina Beach.

   

  The walkathon was supported by MOHAN Foundation and “Vikasa Tarangini – Youth” a social service organization run under the guidance of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana  Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

   

  The rally commenced at the Light House. Mr. Saidai Samiyappan Duraisamy, Mayor, Corporation of Chennai, was the chief guest and flagged off the rally. He spoke on the importance of organ donation among the youth. Nearly 450 people participated in the rally covering a distance of 3 km. The programme was supported by ITC and  Global Hospitals. The rally concluded at the Labour Statue.
