Day five 8th September 2014 started from Kodandarama Temple at Ontimitta and went on to Nadaluru where coordinators of Janavignana Vedika gathered to appreciate Mr. Ramesh Reddy and conducted a meeting for the general public at Nandaluru. There were about 200 participants that were distributed donor cards and information brochures.
The procession reached Rajampet and students of Annamacharya Pharmacy and Engineering College gathered to welcome the procession. We thank the management of Annamacharya Institutions especially the professor & principal of pharmacy college - Dr. Chakka Gopinath, Treasurer - Mr. Yella Reddy, Director - Prof. G. Prabhakar Rao, students and staff for their support in making this event a grand success. Dr. Koti Reddy and Dr. Bhanu Chandra stressed upon the need of organ donation and activities of MOHAN Foundation. There were more than 250 students that have actively interacted during the session and all the students were distributed donor cards and information brochures.
The procession reached Rajampet circle where more than 3000 students of Kakatiya Institutions and general public gathered and walked with Mr. Ramesh Reddy to GKSKR function hall for a massive meeting on organ donation. Mr. Ramesh Reddy thanked the donors for giving him a new life twice and stressed upon the importance of government cooperation with MOHAN Foundation in this area. Dr. Bhanu Chandra and Dr. Koti Reddy interacted with the large group of people and tried to drive away the myths on organ donation among the groups and presented them with information brochures and donor cards. Arrangements were made to rest for the night and the walk will continue from Rajampet tomorrow early morning.
