MOHAN Foundation addressed a group of dentists at a workshop organised by the Indian Dental Association (IDA) as part of the Continuing Dental Education on October 30th 2011 at the Hotel Clarks Inn in Gurgaon. There were close to 65 dentists present during the talk.
The Foundation invited Dr. Ravi Mohanka, Senior Consultant Liver Surgeon at Medanta – The Medicity to deliver the talk on Deceased Organ Donation and the role each person can play. Fliers were distributed and Donor Cards were made available. Almost everyone present signed up.
A lot of queries were answered. Most of them shared that they were not very well informed about the nuances of organ donation. A few offered to be volunteers for the Foundation to carry forward this work.
