On 7th October 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Sriganesh, a resident of Sterling Court, Andheri for a session on organ donation awareness, as part of ‘Joy of Giving’ celebrations.
Mrs. Jaya Jairam sensitized the members about the concepts of organ donation, why, who and when is it done. She also went on to address the myths and thereafter shared with them how they could take the pledge and also how important it was to share the wish with their loved ones.
"How transparent is the organ allocation to the persons on waiting list", "Are transplant services available in government hospitals?" were a few of the many queries raised during the session.
Many who attended the session took the pledge. We thank Mr Sriganesh for organising the session.
