On 26th June, 2022, Jain Kalar Bhawan, Nagpur, invited Ms. Prarthana to set up an information desk and conduct a talk on organ donation for their members. Dr. Chaya Durugkar- a member of this association organized this session.
Ms. Prarthana Dwivedi was the speaker for the day. She began her presentation by introducing herself and MOHAN Foundation and its activities.
Thereafter, she discussed the below topics about organ donation
1, Concept of Eye Donation
2. Process of Tissue Donation and Organ Donation
3. Myths and Facts about organ donation
4. Donor story was told to motivate the audience
5. A video on brain stem death was displayed to the audience and the concept of brain stem death was explained in a simpler manner.
6. MOHAN Foundation’s helpline number was shared with the audience
The session was interactive and informative. The information desk was manned in the hall with MOHAN Foundation’s standee and banner. Around 678 participants visited the stall and 450 members participated in the session. The participants expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Prarthana and MOHAN Foundation for their noble work on organ donation.
