  • On 08th September, 2025 – The commitment to a life-saving cause took center stage at Pudami Neighborhood School, Yacharam, following a hugely successful organ donation awareness initiative conducted by the Mohan Foundation.

The program, led by Mr. Venkatesh Kattela, Project Manager from the Mohan Foundation, was strategically executed through two distinct, engaging sessions to effectively reach a wide range of students. Over 250 students and faculty members from grades 6 to 10 participated in the comprehensive awareness drive, which was conducted with minimal disruption to the school's academic schedule.

The sessions were thoughtfully divided as follows:

    • Session One: Catered to students in Grades 6 and 10, focusing on a foundational understanding and the immediate impact of organ donation.
    • Session Two: Targeted Grades 7 to 9, addressing more complex topics and common myths tailored to their comprehension level.

The detailed talks covered essential components of the cause, including:

    • The critical need for organ donors in the country.
    • The legal and ethical process of becoming a donor.
    • Clarifying the distinction between brain death and cardiac death.
    • Dispelling cultural misconceptions and promoting organ donation as an ultimate act of philanthropy.

The entire program concluded on an inspiring and highly positive note. Both students and faculty members demonstrated their overwhelming encouragement and support by actively pledging to donate their organs. This event powerfully showcases the school community's readiness to champion social responsibility and embrace this noble, life-saving mission.
