Publicity of the Helpline Number by Angels of Change - Day 10

Updated on Friday, December 21, 2018
  • The tenth session of MOHAN Foundation’s awareness campaign for auto drivers was on 19th December 2018, at the Forum Mall in Vadapalani.

Ms. Kaviya. P (Intern from MMM College of Health Sciences) and Mr. Albin Augustin (Intern from School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya) represented MOHAN Foundation.  Information brochures and green ribbons were distributed among the drivers. Stickers displaying the message of organ donation and helpline number of MOHAN Foundation were put up on the autos of drivers who consented.

A lot of the drivers who were approached were aware of the concepts of organ donation.
10 drivers supported the cause by pasting the helpline stickers on their auto rickshaws. 4 of them also registered as organ donors and received their donor cards.

MOHAN Foundation thanks the auto rickshaw drivers for participating and supporting this initiative.

The National Organ Donation Tollfree HelpLine- 1800 103 7100, is operational under the 'Gift Hope, Gift Life' project supported by the SBI Foundation and SBI DFHI Limited.
