  With the divine blessings of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja chinna jeeyar swamiji, MOHAN Foundation organized a Public education programme on organ Donation at Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences (CAIMS), Karimnagar on 31^st January 2013. The Medical college students, Nursing College students, Staff, patients and devotees attended the session. Mrs. Lalitha Raghuram delivered the talk to a gathering of around 450. The importance of organ donation, Brain death and donor card were discussed. The Public education movie was also screened for the students. The Medical College’s ophthalmologist delivered an awareness talk on corneal donation. Later, His Holiness Sri Sri Sri chinna jeeyar swamiji graced the occasion and motivated the young doctors about the organ donation and told them that it would be great if they support the cause. Mr. Chalmeda Lakshman, Chairman of CAIMS thanked Swamiji and mentioned that he is indeed proud that such a noble initiative had started from their Medical College. He also wished to carry it forward. The Donor cards and Information brochures were distributed to all.

   

  The professors of the medical college extended complete support and said that they will be interested in organizing a Continuing Medical Education program for their Postgraduate students and critical care specialists.
