iVolunteer in tie-up with NSS Hindustan University organized an awareness session to the first year NSS students on February 07, 2024 of Hindustan University, Padur. The session consisted of Kidney wellness by TANKER Foundation and Organ Donation Awareness by MOHAN Foundation.
The session began with Mr. Gnanasekaran, NSS Coordinator, introducing the guest speakers. Ms. Rajalakshmi, Tanker Foundation, begun the session on Kidney Wellness and very elaborately explained the following topics:
The second session on organ donation was by Mr Ganesh C, Marketing Coordinator, who started the session with a movie related quiz related to Organ Donation to tune up the interest of the young minds. Then he explained the concept of organ donation, brain death, time factor, organ allocation by government, myths and scams on organ donation and effective use of organ donation helpline 1800 103 7100.
The session ended with a brief Q&A Session and over 141 students and teaching staff participated. MOHAN Foundation extends its warm regards to iVolunteer and Hindustan University for the opportunity and support
