On August 13, 2025, World Organ Donation Day, Retired Forest Officer Mr. Ajay Gupta has dedicated his post-retirement life to raising awareness about eye and organ donation. Inspired by the painful struggle of his mother, who suffered kidney failure and passed away in 2014 after years of dialysis, he resolved to work for this cause. Mr. Gupta emphasized that after death the body turns to ashes, but with one pledge a person can give new life to many. He highlights that organ donation is possible in cases of brain death, and considers it the greatest act of virtue.
