


On August 8, 2025, First India News hosted a panel discussion on myths related to deceased organ donation, anchored by Vijendra Solanki with panellists Mr. Ajay Gupta (Retd. IFS, MFJCF core group member), Dr. Manish Agrawal (Neurophysician), Dr. Chitra (Anaesthetist & Brain-Dead Committee member), and Amit Sharma (Live Kidney Recipient). Amit Sharma spoke about the challenges of dialysis and benefits of transplantation, while Mr. Ajay Gupta addressed myths and shared that MFJCF counselled families in 32 donor cases from 2015–2018 and highlighted the role of NGOs in grief counselling after brain death.. Dr. Manish Agrawal explained the distinction between brain death and ventilator support under the THOA Act, and Dr. Chitra explained how brain death is confirmed. The session concluded with anchor Vijendra Solanki urging people to pledge for organ donation.
