Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur invited MOHAN foundation to conduct an awareness session on organ . This was conducted the Regional Transport Office (RTO) training hall on 3 July 2018. It was meant for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.
Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained for following points:
v What is Organ Donation and the Law
v Who can donate organ
v Type of organ donation.
v Brain Death, Natural Death and Coma
v Myths related to Organ donation
v Deceased donation case in Nagpur
v Transplant centres in the city
v Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website.
It was a very interactive session. 30 drivers were present at the talk and 4 drivers signed consent form and took donor cards.
