Organ donation awareness for drivers at RTO, Nagpur

  Mr. Bulu Behera is addressing the gathering

  On 18 December, 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Powar, RTO officer, Nagpur branch to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers who apply for vehicle registration and driving license.

  Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ donation. In his talk he explained the following points-

  • Importance and need of Organ donation:
  • Types of donations –Live and deceased donation
  • Difference between Natural death, Coma and Brain Death.
  • THO Act and myths related to Organ donation
  • Eye donation, skin donation & whole body donation
  • Importance of Donor card, Helpline number and website.

  It was a very interactive session. 25 drivers were present during the talk.

  10 drivers picked the consent forms, they will discuss with their family members then sign consent form.

  The Participants asked the following questions:-

  What is the process of skin donation?

  What is the process of eye donation?
