

On July 6, 2025, an online awareness session on organ and tissue donation was conducted for students of Excel College, Alampalayam, Namakkal District. About 47 students participated on the online talk.
Mr. Ganesh C, Senior Project Executive, MOHAN Foundation led the session and gave introduction of MOHAN Foundation and its mission and activities then he explained the organ donation process, the brain death and how it relates to transplants, how to register as a donor, the common myths and scams surrounding organ donation.
Following this, Ms. Sangeetha K, Project Executive delivered a presentation on eye donation, detailing how corneal transplants can restore vision to the visually impaired. She clarified common myths, outlined donor eligibility and safety precautions,. She also mentioned that the success rate for corneal transplants covers between 90–95 %, offering life-changing outcomes.
Throughout the session, participants interacted actively raising questions about donor eligibility, pledging processes, and health considerations. Digital brochures covering organ and eye donation were circulated for further study.
