MOHAN Foundation - Bangalore had organized an Awareness Program on Organ Donation at Lorvin College on 24th October, 2011. A group of 40 students and faculty members from the Social Work department attended the programme. All who attended the programme were extremely pleased and expressed their willingness to be donors by signing up the Donor Cards.
The Head of the Department of Social Work mentioned that “Organ Donation has now been well accepted among the youths, though there were certain false notions and beliefs still associated with it. The willingness to donate organs was gradually increasing as people were realizing the value of it”. He also appreciated the efforts of MOHAN Foundation across the country to promote this noble cause and asked the Social Work students to take up the responsibility of spreading the awareness among the public.
