On the occasion of World Heart Day, 29 September 2012, MOHAN Foundation, Bangalore had organised an Organ Donation Awareness Drive in Bangalore. Spreading the message, volunteers from MOHAN Foundation took part in the World Heart Day Walkathon organised by Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, Bangalore. Stalls were setup at Forum and UB city Shopping malls to educate the public on the need and importance of organ donation in India and also various public education materials were distributed. The stalls at the malls on a busy weekend helped to carry the message of organ donation to thousands. 512 people signed donor cards and pledged to donate organs during the drive.
