Organ Donation Awareness talk at McKinsey Knowledge Centre India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.

• MOHAN Foundation was invited by McKinsey Knowledge Centre India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai to give an awareness talk for their employees on 16.10.2014. Ms. Kavitha. S. Marketing coordinator represented MOHAN Foundation.

   

  Ms.Kavitha, delivered a talk on Organ Donation.  In her talk she explained the following:

  • Importance and need of organ donation
  • Types of donations – live and deceased donation
  • Difference between Natural Death, Coma and Brain Death
  • Organs and tissues  that can be donated in cardiac death and brain death
  • Preservation time of organs
  • Importance of Donor card, helpline number and website
  • TNOS website and Transplant Registry

   

  Nearly 35 of them attended the session. At the end of the session “Priceless Gift”  information brochures were distributed and 15 employees supported this noble cause by picking up the donor cards.
