The major objective of this action research project is to analyze the awareness on Organ Donation among the students before and after sensitization. This was tested by giving a pre and post awareness questionnaire to the students. The test result will be evaluated.

About 120 NSS students participated in the programme. Ms. Jessi, Transplant Coordinator spoke to the students about the concepts of Brain Death, Organ Donation, eye donation and THO Act.

The students who were from various background raised questions on how a post mortem is done, does organ donation cause disfigurement to the body and few queries on live organ donation.

At the end of the session 75 NSS students along with 6 M.Phil scholars from MSSW pledged for organ donation.
