
On 20th December 2011, as part of Christmas day celebration, St.Patrician College of Arts & Science invited MOHAN Foundation for an Awareness Program on Organ Donation.
The session was started with a presentation on "Organ Donation" by Ms.Veena, Transplant Coordinator. The concepts of brain death, organ donation, myths and realities were explained. The difference between Brain Death and Coma was educated to the students. At the end about 200 students pledged for organ donor card.
Mr. Balan, M.D. Madura Travels, Chief Guest for the day while addressing the gathering emphasized that it is the responsibility of every individual to pledge for Organ Donation. He also said, "Now-a-days, the youngsters are more vibrant and they must promote this cause in a wider range". He lauded the students of St.Patrician College who pledged for Organ Donation.
Mr.Nandagopal , District Governor, Lions international club stated, "Our life should be meaningful and example for the others. let’s pledge ourselves and say YES for Organ Donation".
