Ulaganayagan Kamalahasan’s Birthday was grandly celebrated by his fan club members in chrompet, Chennai. Mr. Manivanan, Secretary of the fan club had requested MOHAN Foundation to give an awareness talk on Organ Donation and Transplantation for the elderly people. The programme started with Mr. Manivanan’s Welcome speech and introduced MOHAN Foundation representative who explained about organ donation, organs that can be donated after death & brain death and the legal process. The awareness talk extended for about forty minutes after which discussions were held regarding the means and ways to donate and receive organs.
At the end of the program Mr. Manivannan announced that on Sunday, 7th Nov, 2010, about 200 people from the Ulaganayagan Kamalhasan’s fan club will be pledging for organ donation. The program was a grand success with 12 people pledging for a donor card.
