Organ Donation Awareness for Dell Employees

    On the Occasion of “MAKE A DIFFERENCE” the Chennai office of DELL invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an awareness programme on “Blood Donation and Organ Donation” for their employees on 17th 18th & 19th October 2012. This initiative was taken as a part of their CSR activity.

     

    The awareness programme was conducted in two venue DLF, Porur and Ambit IT Park, Ambattur.  Transplant Coordinators Ms.Veena, Mr.Johnson, Ms.Kavitha & Ms.Sindhuja spoke on this occasion about blood and organ donation and its importance in saving lives.  On each of these three days about 8 awareness sessions were conducted. This event saw about 750 employees of Dell being sensitized on organ donation.

     

    A special mention has to be made about the organizers Mr.Santhanakrishnan, Mr.DuraiRaj and Mr.GomathiShankar all employees of Dell who helped the MOHAN Foundation Team to do multiple sessions and made sure that their fellow colleagues attended these sessions.

     

    At the end of each session the employees made various enquires with the transplant coordinators, which was answered. The awareness programme spread over three days saw over 750 employees of Dell support the noble cause of organ donation by taking the donor card.

     

    The donor cards, brochures and posters distributed were contributed by Cadaver Transplant Programme, Government of Tamil Nadu.
