Ms. Madhulika Deogoji of the National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur invited Dr. Ravi Wankhede of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur to deliver a talk on organ donation and transplantation on 16th December 2020.
Dr. Wankhede made a presentation on organ donation and transplantation which covered the
following points:
Dr. Wankhede also highlighted how organ donation is very common in developed countries, whereas in India a very few people donate organs as they are not aware of organ donation. He said that MOHAN Foundation has been spreading awareness through its various centres across the country.
After the session, around 25 people signed up to be organ donors and a few others collected information brochures.
