Organ Donation Awareness at Kangleipak Medical and Nursing Institute

  Ms. Roma Devi explaining the concepts of organ donation

  On 4^th February 2019, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness programme on organ donation at Kangleipak Medical and Nursing Institute, Imphal East, Manipur.

  Ms Sorokhaibam Roma Devi, Transplant Coordinator from MOHAN Foundation was present to deliver the talk which was attended by around 42 students. The session lasted for almost one hour and Ms Roma spoke on the following topics:

  • Importance of organ donation
  • How does organ donation happen in a hospital
  • The organ donation and transplantation process
  • How to register as an organ donor

  Following a brief Q&A session, a few students registered as organ donors and received donor cards.
