The program was attended by about 60 students of the Institute who are on the cusp of being future leaders and entrepreneurs of industry, academia and society.

Titled ‘Gift Of Life’, the Organ Donation Awareness Session was delivered through a lecture-cum-presentation aimed to spread awareness regarding Human Organs & Tissues Donation and introduce the participants to the various concepts and legal aspects involved. The participants were informed of the role of MOHAN Foundation as the leading NGO spearheading the Organ Donation and Transplantation movement in India as well as the various training and professional courses being conducted by it. Participants were impressed upon to consider pledging their organs and give a gift of life. They were also informed of the online process of pledging their organs and tissues and obtaining their donor card from www.mohanfoundation.org portal.

The question-answer session that followed the presentation helped in clarifying doubts and dispelling myths and superstitions surrounding organ donation.

Mr. Devang thanked IIM, Nagpur management, faculty and Ummeed club for hosting the event on such a humanitarian issue  and contributing to spreading awareness regarding the ultimate altruistic gesture of Organ Donation amongst its students.
