On January 19th 2012, MOHAN Foundation-Bangalore had organized an Organ Donation Awareness Workshop for the nursing students of Krupanidhi Nursing College, Bangalore. The programme was designed to provide students, information on need and processes of Organ Donation and Transplantation in the country.
Mr. Bino James, Project Manager, MOHAN Foundation addressed the students about the concepts of Brain Death, Organ Donation, THO Act, Role of nurses as Transplant Coordinators and Organ Registry in Karnataka.
The interactive sessions helped the students to clarify their doubts and to understand in detail about the concepts of Organ Donation. More than 70 students who had attended the programme had pledged to be ambassadors for the noble cause and to spread awareness on Organ Donation.
