Rotary Club of Coimbatore as part of their public education initiative gave MOHAN Foundation a stall in the Metro Fair 2012, to spread the message of Organ Donation and Transplantation, to distribute Organ Donation Awareness Brochures and issue Donor Cards to those who wish to pledge their organs. The fair was held from 13th to 16th January 2012, during the Pongal Holidays.
Rtn. PDG. Pratap Gokuldas, Hon. Director, MOHAN Foundation-Coimbatore coordinated with Rtn. Hemant J. Shaw, Organizer, Metro Fair 2012, in setting up the stall. The stall was declared open by Dr. Ajay Kumar, RDG Nominee, Cochin.
Awareness Brochures were distributed and 68 people took Donor Cards and pledged their organs. Mr. Pratap Gokuldas along with Past District Governors visited the stall and explained to the public the importance of donating organs and the need for creating awareness among the general public.
