Stella Maris College conducted “Beyond Horizon 12” career fair for the students on 12th Sep 2012. The MOHAN Foundation was requested to put up a stall as a part of social awareness among students. The stall was set up to create awareness on Organ Donation to the students and staff of the college. The stall contained publicity materials such as posters, banners, donor cards, and brochures. It was manned by Transplant Coordinators Mr. Vijay and Mr. Johnson.
Many students and staff had come voluntarily and registered their names to pledge the Donor Card. The most frequent question was “why should we tell our parents about our wish to donate if we are adults” and “which organs can be donated”? Over 80 students and few staff from Stella Maris College pledged for Donor Card and promised to discuss with their parents about the Organ Donation.
